The shoreline is traced for some 200 miles by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path – one of the national trails which enables walkers to explore the best of the county’s highly prized countryside and wildlife. Being a coastal path, there are no mountains to climb. But the combined rise and fall of the route totals 35,000 feet – so walking the whole path is not a soft option!
That said, the scenery – of cliffs, beaches, offshore islands, abundant birdlife and even basking seals – is simply superb.
There are good walks inland, too, for which maps are available at Reception.
